How the money works
- Donations are made on GoFundMe and paid to James Layfield, who organises the fundraiser, then spent directly on the club.
- GoFundMe charges no platform fee. Card processing takes 2.9% plus 30 cents of each donation. GoFundMe also asks donors for an optional tip, which never comes out of the club’s money.
- Donations aren’t tax-deductible.
- The land is lent free by James’s family, so nothing goes on rent.
- Staff costs are shown as one monthly total for the team, never person by person.
